Which Carnival ship is best?

We are a family of four looking to take a caribbean cruise next summer. We are ages 40-41-20-17, so we have older children. My wife and I went on our first cruise last month on the Carnival Paradise out of Tampa, and we LOVED IT!!! Now we want to experience it as a family. Can anyone tell me some of the pros and cons of the different ships? We are trying to find one that will keep us all occupied and entertained. We are looking at a 7 day cruise, not sure out of which port yet?

Notice that the Breeze and Vista are the most recommended ships with more features than some of the older ships. Bear in mind, however, that these ships may cost you $1,000 to $2,000 more to sail on an 8 day cruise. So I guess if some one asked me if I would rather drive a Ford Lincoln than a Fusion, I would probably say yes and then buy the Fusion. There is a definite difference in price between ships, especially newer ships as compared to older ships. In the end, they all have the basics of ports, activities, food, casino, etc.

I agree. I do not sail on ships on either line newer than 5 years because of price alone. Seems like after the 5 year mark, they start to drop some. Money IS an object for me

The Breeze was designed by a different designer than Farcus . Who did a lot of Carnival ships , It is not Las Vegas bling , gaudy décor like the Conquest Class , It is more mellow ,beachy feel to it ,Pastel yellow's and orange's ect , More inviting feel than other ships in the fleet . I also prefer the open lido deck it has ,when compared to the stadium seating on Conquest Class ships , No handrails to look under or over when watching Movies ,concerts ect on the big screen . Has the Cloud 9 spa More hot tubs ,

This link describes The Breeze ,with pictures

What a beautiful ship :) I believe Farcus did design Magic but Magic seems more toned down than other Carnival ships Ive seen pics of. The eyeballs in the Centrum were a little weird but other than that, she is pretty close to Breeze now as far as amenities and food options goes and some of those pics look really similar. If you like Breeze, I bet you would like Magic. Give her a try sometime :)

Im a HUGE Magic cheerleader :D
