When you say watching movies....are these DVDs that come from the Concierge or Pay Per View movies ? I had heard that this perk had been cut. Glad to hear differently.

 

ALso...for laundry....is this an unlimited service or just a time or 2 during the cruise ?

 

Have you had unlimited Thermal a Spa access ? That's another one that I heard had been cut.

Hi! I found out about Thermal Spa. We have one complimentary day. Show your star class card and that will get you in.

We have 10320 for our upcoming cruise(s) - and hearing what you are posting I can't wait to go.

 

I see you did the 4 day sampler on the Anthem in 2016 - was that the Cruise to NoWhere that ended up going nowhere in March?

So glad to read the genie experience is the same as we had this past June. We were on Deck 10 and our genie was Mimmi. Do you know if Mimmi is still a genie on Anthem now?

That center aft view is amazing, isn't it?

The only thing I disliked about our cruise was getting OFF - who wants to leave that incredible experience. Our genie met us at an appointed time in the AM and we are off the ship and through customs and to our car in 10 minutes! WOW, just WOW!!

We have this same room in the opposite corner 10720 coming up a week from Saturday. We have heard from our Genie Katya this past Sunday, I have read wonderful things here and there about Mimmi and Derick, but nothing about Katya. I am hoping she provides the same great service as these two. however she did promise to respond within 24 hours and has been nearly 48 with no response to my questions, hoping that isn't a bad omen:p If anyone has experience with her I would love to hear it. :D Happy cruising, can't wait to board in just about 10 days.

Hi Pat! Yes- that was the one. We came across irritable crew members, but still had a great time. That is why we booked this one.

Day 4

We did not have much interaction with our Genie since we did not go to the shows and spent all day in Bermuda. We had an appointment with future cruise and he escorted us to the desk; he came to dinner where we ate at the Wonderland and stayed a while.

 

Today we have a full agenda that includes North Star, Gallery and Bridge tour.

 

Still having a great time!

Hi Swiss- Mimmi is not on the ship. She is on vacation returning Nov 20th.

I have seen and met your Royal Genie. She appears to be great! She has been attentive to her guest and always around. We all(guest and genie) see each other since we are all Royal Suite Class!

Thanks so much. After that first day, she has been very attentive and quick to answer all emails and other requests. I am so excited and very anxious to get on board. Thank you so much for keeping us all in the "loop" as there is very little practical information out there on this service so far. :D

Day 5

Royal Genie scheduled a Galley tour for us. Interesting, but was hard to hear due to the employees working in the kitchen. I have done the galley tour on Majesty, but it was a smaller operation. We were provided with desserts. Mimosas and Champagne. Nice touch. After that, we had an appointment for North Star. It broke down, but eventually was up and running. I really liked it. The operator informed us the groups are small with only 14 per group because if it breaks down with people on board, they only have 14 harnesses to get you out.

 

Last thing the Genie provided was a Bridge Tour. Our group only had Star Class members. Nice p, because it was a smaller group than the regular tour. The tour was very informative and we were allowed to take pictures, but no video. Captain spoke to us for a minute and we were handed off to a petty officer that gave the tour.

 

Our Genie let us know we have our scheduled departure time, our luggage goes with us(no putting out at night) and he take us to customs.

 

It is sad to be our last night, but I am going to enjoy every last minute. The last time we will see our Genie will be him escorting us to Chef's Table tonight before tomorrow's departure.

Thanks for the info! I hope she is there for our cruise next year on Anthem. However, it does sound as though your genie is pretty magical, too! Awesome that you are having a great cruise. It's to tough to leave that experience....but you can't wait to return to it. I'm counting the days until next year....

Day HOME! :(

It was a great final experience. We had breakfast at Coastal Kitchen at 7:00 am; breakfast was 7:00 am- 8:30 am. After breakfast we headed back to our suite.

 

Since my car service was coming at 9:30 am, we were picked up by our Royal Genie and a Porter at 9:00 am in our Suite. No putting out luggage, which is a great perk.

 

Derick escorted us from suite to customs. The line was very long and we had a seperate area we went through. It took us approximately 10 minutes! Derick said goodbye and on his way to his next guest.

 

Overall- It was an amazing experience! Great ship, great people and outstanding suite. I can not wait for the next experience! :D

We will be cruising beginning October 29. We have received several emails from our genie. Super excited about our interactions through email.

We noticed that Genies arranged bridge, galley and theatre tours. Is there a cost for these tours or is it part of our Star Class experience.

Could you advise if each guest in the stateroom receives an individual email and questionnaire or only the first guest on the booking. If each guest receives an email are you able to tell from the email who else received the email for that stateroom ie the distribution list for that stateroom ?

 

I have asked this before but may not have been very clear.

To answer your question, from my experience only one guest in each suite receives the questionnaire. I received one and I assume it was because I did the booking and my email address was used for all communication.

The genie we had was there when we needed her but not at all intrusive in any way. We did not ask much of her but when we did, it was done....quickly and without standing in GS lines, etc. Great experience.

Hi! No- It is not an extra cost. It is included in your Star Class experience. Outstanding perk!

It was interesting to hear a firsthand experience. There are some perks DH and I would enjoy, but I think the genie experience would be a tad too intrusive for our cruising style.

I understand your opinion. :D Just to let you know, you can use the Genie anyway you want. He/she provide you with an itinerary and you can choose to follow it or not. I am the one that always book and make the schedule when we go on vacation. I felt like I was on real vacation with someone else doing it for me.:cool:

Hi there, We too are cruising on the 29th, and have had some great back and forth with our genie. I have already told her we would be interested in all of those behind the scenes tours and she has informed me that she will make those arrangements and let us know the schedule once on board, and yes they are at no extra charge. If you haven't already, you should visit our roll call page. Lots of nice folks chatting away and getting to cruise.
