bigpaluka Posted October 24, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 24, 2016 Been on a few Princess cruises and some decks have larger balconies. Usually Caribe deck. Does the Royal have decks with larger balconies? We will be on the Barcelona to Rome cruise, but would like to get off at the Florence stop and not continue on to Rome. Has anyone ever done this? Is it a problem?
ltcal94 Posted October 24, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 24, 2016 (edited) There are no decks with larger balconies as on the Grand Class Caribe deck . There are a few select cabins midship below the skywalk or sea view bar and there might be a few aft cabins as well. neverbeenhere Posted October 24, 2016 #3 Share Posted October 24, 2016 not an entire deck, but you should look at a deck plan pdf to see the staterooms with larger balconies.

Nope, no entire decks with larger balconies, rather they are scattered all around the ship - aft, forward, midship, etc. As for disembarkaing early than end of cruise - it can be arranged, you have to do so directly with Princess...and you pay for entire sailing regardless. Happy sails.

satxdiver Posted October 24, 2016 #6 Share Posted October 24, 2016 On decks 15 and 16 there are larger balconies that face forward. However you cannot open the balcony door while the ship is moving. They lock the door to prevent it! Beware. If you get a balcony underneath the sky walk or bar pax can look down at your balcony. This includes adjacent balconies on either side as well. Something to remember when picking a balcony.

Here's a thread from the past that states otherwise from someone who stayed in one of those forward-facing cabins... http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1977490
