QM2 Crossing with Princess TA return

Has anyone successfully paired these two cruises so essentially you don't have to fly to Europe? If so, would you do it again?

They are few and far between but we did one in April of this year. TX to Southampton on the Caribbean Princess then stayed 2 days in Southampton then returned on the QM2 to NY. If I could find another we would do it again in a heart beat. Had no issues with QM2 dress code.

In 2012, we took the QM2 from NYC to Southampton. We spent three nights there and then boarded the Caribbean Princess for back to back cruises that returned us to NYC.

It was during the London Olympics, so we avoided going into London, but used the train to get to Stonehenge and other near by places. It worked out well for us, and although I've checked a few times, I've not been able to find another combo that would work for us.

Good luck putting a deal together!!

Yes We did it last year. We did the Queen Mary to Southampton, did a British Isles cruises from there, went to London for a few days and then came back to Southampton for a TA doing Norway and Iceland before arriving in New York. Would do it again in a heartbeat. It was wonderful not having to fly.

I have done a transatlantic twice now, and returned on the Queen Mary 2. Yes, I would do it again. It is a great experience.

It's a great way to skip the long flights. The QM2 is really an experience and I highly recommend it. She is very elegant and she handles the Atlantic like no other.

Just remember it's more formal then most of the cruise lines. I enjoyed it the first time tremendously, as I was with my BF and we enjoyed dressing up and going out at night. My last trip, I went solo and didn't enjoy the dressing up part as much. But, as in the other Cruise Lines, if you're not in the mood for dressing up that night there are alternatives.
