leisuretraveler223 Posted October 28, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 28, 2016 Sailing Sunday in a loft suite. Haven't experience CC or the Suites Lounge yet. We have traveling companions who are not in a suite. I understand based on availability, we can host them at CC. What about the Suites Lounge? We all have the beverage package, so it's not about trying to get a free drink. And I know they certainly couldn't come with us to the Diamond Lounge. But what is Suites Lounge like? Is it crowded most of the day? I'm not looking to infringe on other's enjoyment, just wondering what the options are.
spookwife Posted October 28, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 28, 2016 They may not enter the suite lounge unless they are in a suite or are pinnacle in their own right. Same rules as the Diamond lounge Sent from my iPad using Forums
irishgal432 Posted October 28, 2016 #3 Share Posted October 28, 2016 I had friends that were eating in Coastal Kitchen with us. We got there early and sat in the suite lounge. My friends were charged for their drinks while we sat in the lounge since they were not in the suite. They do have a full bar up there not just the free happy hour selections. So they didn't have an issue with them being there prior to dinner? That's kind of what I was wondering about. Also, if we're all hanging out in our suite and want drinks, with a full bar there, are they really going to raise a stink if they come with me to get a drink? Like I said, not looking to encroach on suite guests, just thinking about the possibilities....

In fact after dinner we were leaving about 8:30 and were heading to a show in an hour and we mentioned to the concierge we were going to find a bar to grab a drink and he said "Feel free to sit here for a bit"
Espn Posted October 28, 2016 #6 Share Posted October 28, 2016 My family is in a suite on the same cruise Sunday. I don't really have a problem with guests in the Suite Lounge as long as it does not infringe on what I paid for, like you said. If we arrive in the SL and there is no place to sit because half the people there are guest of people in a suite, then I have a problem. I can see this would be hard for RC to police unless they ask to see sea pass cards for everyone entering, and I doubt that any employee would want to challenge a guest. frank808 Posted October 29, 2016 #7 Share Posted October 29, 2016 The only time the suite lounge got really busy last week was on debarkation day sunday morning. Evwryone met there to get off the ship with dexter or anna. Besides that time the lounge gets busy around 5 to 630 pm right before dinner. Not busy to the point of not having any seats. Most of the time the lounge is pretty empty especially port days. Went to the suite lounge after a couple of hours at downtown cozumel at about 130 pm. Max the bartender said that the lounge was empty except for a couple of pinnacles that hung out there every day. When you board allure sunday you can head to the lounge for lunch and bypass the madness at windjammer and park cafe. Max makes some great cocktails for sure. Try his bloody mary martinis. Also tell max frank from hawaii says aloha. Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk
jamesr3939 Posted October 29, 2016 #8 Share Posted October 29, 2016 they will not be able to buy a drink at the SL bar even with a drink package as the bar tender will refuse since they don't have a suite card. it happened to us last year on embarkation we had our niece come up and even though she got in with no issue i had to buy her drink. I've always been able to bring a guest or 2 into the suite lounge with out any hassle. guests have always been treated the same when it came to drink service as well. Spookwife is about as misinformed and nasty as anyone you will come across on cc. a real internet troll
