Want2Cruise 701 Posted October 28, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 28, 2016 We arrive on a Saturday and our ship leaves on Sunday. Is there anything in MIA similar to what Port Canaveral has with Fishlips, Grills etc. to see the Saturday ships leave? Thanks.

Capt_BJ Posted October 28, 2016 #4 Share Posted October 28, 2016 (edited) short answer Monty's on South Beach aka Monty's Sunset http://montyssobe.com/ but expect to pay a good bit more than at FishLips ... it IS South Beach more discussion ... the last time the question was asked: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2398375&highlight=South+Beach Edited October 28, 2016 by Capt_BJ
Lido_Deck Posted October 28, 2016 #5 Share Posted October 28, 2016 Smith & Wollensky...If you can afford it. http://www.smithandwollensky.com/our-restaurants/miami-beach/
BlueHerons Posted October 29, 2016 #6 Share Posted October 29, 2016 The absolute best view is Smith & Wollensky but it is very expensive. Lunch for four of us was $400. It's very, very good. Montys for happy hour is very reasonable and they have a pool. I've swam in it many times holding a margarita. Because you can. South Point Park is free and the views are the same as S&W. Want2Cruise 701 Posted October 29, 2016 Author #7 Share Posted October 29, 2016 I'll check them out. We have a Smith & Wollenskys here. Food I didn't think warranted the price. Atleast the one here in Atl was just ok. Thanks everyone.

Rare Host CJSKIDS Posted October 29, 2016 #11 Share Posted October 29, 2016 My balcony!! I'm watching the Carnival ship leave now! Whole Foods in downtown Miami is a great place for picnic items as they have so much prepared food. They will give you all utensils and stuff needed. Any Publix is also great. Blue Heron's advice is as always, spot on. Monty's is a lot of fun.

BlueHerons Posted October 30, 2016 #13 Share Posted October 30, 2016 That's great advice, but where do you buy the picnic food? Sent from my iPad using Forums Publix!! There is one at Fifth and Alton which is about five blocks from South Pointe Park. They also sell these great little bag coolers which really work for $2.50. Don't forget to buy a wine opener! harleylady98 Posted October 30, 2016 #15 Share Posted October 30, 2016 Thank you for your suggestions, they sound wonderful. Hopefully this will turn into a great day, instead of staying on the ship. Again thank you for your help. Sent from my iPad using Forums
