La Spezia train station

How far is it to the La Spezia train station from the port? Can you walk? Are there cabs at the port? Are there cabs at the train station to bring you back to the ship?

It is commonly described here as a 25 minute walk. Many make the walk.

There is a pubic bus and I've read reviews that mention a cruise shuttle bus to the public gardens, which is just under a mile from La Spezia Centrale. It's not clear to me if this is always available or if it's cruise line specific.

 

From the port exit to the train station on foot is two miles, about forty minutes on foot for the average walker.

 

There are cabs at the station to bring you back.
