Keepercruiser Posted November 19, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 19, 2016 (edited) We have been on 13 NCL cruises and about to embark on our 14th and are Platinum level. I have just noticed that Specialty restaurant costs seem to have changed. Cagneys and Le Bistro now seem to be marked as A La Carte with no menu posted on line and therefore no price list - I seem to recall that a year ago you paid a flat $20 or $25 for these two restaurants. Also what happens to our two free Platinum level Le Bistro meals if it is now A la Carte? Comments please anyone? Thanks Edited November 19, 2016 by Keepercruiser
Rare KeithJenner Posted November 19, 2016 #2 Share Posted November 19, 2016 The restaurants being a la carte makes no difference if you have the SDP. You just get it included as usual (there is a limit of one entree, but multiple apps, sides and desserts are covered). With the platinum meal (which is now limited to le Bistro or La Cucina), you are covered for one app, one entree and one dessert. There are a couple of entrees which are specifically not included (I can't remember which ones).
hawkeyetlse Posted November 19, 2016 #3 Share Posted November 19, 2016 (edited) Everything will be explained on the voucher you receive, but basically you can order one appetizer, one main dish, and one dessert per person. The most expensive main dishes are off limits, but otherwise everything else is included. Again, within the limit of 3 courses per person. This is also explained on the Latitudes Member Benefits webpage. If you go to La Cucina instead, the rules are the same, and (in our experience) they are very strict about pizzas counting as a main dish (for those ships that still serve pizza at La Cucina), even though they only cost $5, and not letting you order starter portions of pasta/risotto. :( Edited November 19, 2016 by hawkeyetlse

Rare BirdTravels Posted November 19, 2016 #5 Share Posted November 19, 2016 (edited) The certificate may be slightly different on your ship. You will get one appitizer, one entree, one dessert, and a bottle of wine. If you want another appitizer, you pay the a la carte price for it (we always order extras). When you show up, give your certificate to the hostess (so that they will get you the right wine menu). Most specialty restaurants are a la carte (except fixed meals like Teppanyaki, Monderno, dinner shows).
