Ship time vs. Cozumel time

We are leaving out of Canaveral this weekend. I want to book a private tour in Cozumel for 8:30am ship time. Would that be 9:30 local time? I'm pretty good with time zone differences, but the daylight savings time thing is throwing me!

Coz is on Eastern Standard time and does not observe daylight savings time.

 

Are you leaving from FLA or TX? :confused:

 

If leaving from FLA ship time will equal local time until the US "springs ahead" in March.

 

If leaving from TX ship time will be one hour behind local time.

 

I'm sure google can provide some site that verifies this for you.

Since the Sunshine leaves from Port Canaveral, Ship time and Coz time will be the same.

 

I'm not sure where or how Cozumel time would ever be 1 hour ahead of East Coast Time unless the island suddenly moved past Puerto Rico.

The Cozumel vendors all know what time your ship arrives, it is important to them for business.

No worries. The tour operator will be aware of ship's arrival and disembarkation time.
