CRocks Posted December 17, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 17, 2016 It used to be any passenger wanting to use the gym/spa simply turned in their sail + sign to the desk + were issued a locker key. Now, on my last couple cruises + since they started "spa cabins" it's been a real hassle to get in. Aren't all passengers allow access to the gym, sauna, steam room? We've got a 15 day cruise comin up next month with 10 sea days. Sure like to spend some time in the spa area.
mariemorgan Posted December 17, 2016 #2 Share Posted December 17, 2016 On the breeze there was one free Sauna in the locker room but the steam rooms required a paid spa pass to use and were on a different floor Sent from my iPhone using Forums
CRocks Posted December 17, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted December 17, 2016 Well that's really bad if it's different on every ship!

riffatsea Posted December 17, 2016 #5 Share Posted December 17, 2016 Not all ships have "spa cabins". On those ships the spa rules are completely different than on the others. You need to check that before you book.
tree.critter Posted December 17, 2016 #6 Share Posted December 17, 2016 Any of the ships with Cloud 9 Spa require either a spa cabin or a paid spa pass for access to the additional spa amenities, the steam room by the lockers is only free access in addition to the gym. Which ship are you cruising on? You can buy a full Cloud 9 spa pass prior to cruising now. Look under spa services, last page. You can buy either a single or couple pass which can be for any two people.
Max Circus Posted December 17, 2016 #7 Share Posted December 17, 2016 Using the gym area is always free. Same with getting a locker. You go to the spa desk and they will take your Sail and Sign, assign you a locker and give you a key. Most of the locker rooms (Breeze for example) have either a steam or sauna that is free for all to use. Ships that have Cloud 9 have separate saunas, steam rooms and pools that are only available to those in Spa cabins (where available) or those with a Spa pass which is purchased for the length of the cruise. If you have a Spa appointment such as massage or other treatment, you will also get access to the special areas of the spa on the day of your treatment. CoW mAn Posted December 17, 2016 #8 Share Posted December 17, 2016 On Fantasy class ships you need to walk thru the spa to get to the gym so it can feel like you're not supposed to go there, but you are. I admit that kind of layout isn't very inviting/welcoming.
