Best transportation option FLL to MIA hotel (not port)

In March we are flying into Fort Lauderdale and have a hotel in Miami for the night before our cruise departs POM the following day. Wondering what the best option might be to get our family of four to and from Miami to Fort Lauderdale. Here's what we need:

FLL to hotel that is almost in the parking lot of the Miami airport (this hotel offers free transportation to and from the Miami airport and to the cruise port) Thought about renting a car in FLL, returning it in MIA and taking the free hotel shuttle from MIA to the hotel.

 

POM to FLL on our return

I'm sure you're saying, why didn't you fly into Miami? FLL saved us over $1000, so felt it was worth finding transportation. :)

A quick read down the board will see the MANY recommendations for shuttles, and for Uber. The shuttles may have some limitations on where they can take you in Miami...you just have to check.

Thanks! Just wasn't sure there were shuttles that go to hotels and not just the airport/port.

This question is asked every week almost without fail. It's usually recommended you stay in Ft Lauderdale then shuttle to the POM the day of the cruise because it is simpler, less expensive, safer and you only have to pay for transfers once.

We are doing the same thing in Feb. Thought Jiffy Jeff was going to be $15 per person but that is if you're going to POM directly from FLL. Got a quote from them for shuttle from FLL to Comfort Inn North near MIA airport where we are staying. They quoted $100 so hoping to find something less expensive.

 

Thinking there may be shuttles from FLL airport to MIA airport that are reasonably priced. The hotel will pick us up for free from there.

Uber or Lyft.

 

We just did Lyft from FLL airport to Hilton Miami Airport. (2 People-4 suitcases)

 

You would probably need Uber XL.

You would probably need an UberXL but that is the easiest option and sometimes the cheapest. $60-$80

I'm using SAS to take me from FLL to a downtown Miami hotel (Hampton Inn). $15 per person. Used them plenty of times and they are awesome!

That is a very good price compared to others I have seen. I do you book ahead of time for SAS or call after you land at FLL?
