The last 4 cruises I purchased faster to the fun and loved it! I read about chocolate covered Strawberry's and a logo gift. Will there be any other perks over FTTF ?

Can I steer the ship for the captain? Can I blow the ships horn?

Just kidding! But I am excited to learn anything that I don't know yet to maximize my vacation with carnival.

I'll be a Platty on the first day of our Jan 29 cruise, We usually book a suite so some of the perks are included with that. But I'll be all over those strawberries LOL We don't cruise for perks. We cruise for fun. But the perks help make it more fun.

We are also turning platinum in April this year. I know many people complain about the lack of so called quality perks, but I say anything is something we didn't have before. We are most looking forward to the priority tender as we have three tender ports. Have a great cruise.

We turned platinum last year, and 2 days before we cruised we got a call for an upgrade. We took it and never received the perks, even the free water was no in the room waiting for us...lol.. We think the people that got our old room got all the free stuff.. Just hope it was not a first cruise for them and think you receive it all the time....LOL not upset, we went for a great cruise, and that is what we got...

Welcome to the cClub! Remember that gold members think we are way over perked. Jealous I say.

Regarding your post you should have visited Guest Services. There is rarely a line, except Gold and lower in the regular line, and Guest Services seem to help out more knowing you are a true loyal Carnival cruiser.

Our favorite perks are the Priority Check In and Lounge, Guest Service window, Free Laundry, access to our cabin once on board and the Return Cruiser Party. These perks keep us a Carnival Loyalist, although we do on rare occasion sail other cruise lines. We always go back to Carnival quickly.

I won't be platinum for a few more years but these are the most valuable perks to me:

1. Not needing FTTF (saves $60+)

2. Complimentary Laundry (saves on packing)

3. I guess BOGO blackjack tournament entries are fun too

The rest are "meh" for me.

i will turn platinum on my upcoming vista cruise. i have a quick question about the priority tender. we have a tender to grand cayman. do we just go to the show room where the people with excursions meet to get off early. or do we have to go to guest services. and do they leave paperwork in your stateroom telling you your options to get off the ship in a tender port with priority status.

Congratulations on reaching platinum, TheBubbs! That is a long path indeed. :)

I'm sure you'll be joining the rest of us in waiting to see how Carnival plans to change our platinum perks this year based on what their Brand Ambassador has been saying lately.

Here is a toast to the changes not being anything you or I value greatly going away!

I really liked the platinum gift I got on my last cruise which was the night light. It has been one of my favorites of the past platinum gifts. I've given away or thrown away so many of those platinum gifts in the past that I really enjoyed getting one recently that I liked and could use. I hope Carnival continues to roll out more new platinum gifts this year.

I became platinum 8 years ago and am looking forward to reaching diamond dependent on the future VIFP perks Carnival announces.

I hope you enjoy your platinum perks!

Congrat's on joining the ranks of Platinum!

We became Plat's "the old way" and our son missed it by one cruise. Now we're trying to get him to Plat "the current way" (75 nights).

Hopefully the qualifications won't change for another year.

Not all ships meet in the same place for priority tendering. The night before your tender port you will get a letter telling you where and when to meet.
