Hey Chandon, when is the best time to buy the drink package? Before a cruise? On a cruise? Also separately, have you heard of a drink card being sold with 10 drinks for $90? We leave on Oasis Sunday and I am trying to figure out my drinking situation haha.

Think they just started the $79/10 drink card.

Buying the package, best time is online in advance. Just keep an eye open for additional discounts. Got mine just under $400 for both Deluxe and one device Voom Stream.

Thank you! Would you please let me know if you happen to see/hear where those drink cards for 10 drinks are sold?

Every bar/bartender should be able to sell a card. I know I've seen signage at Wipeout Bar and Cafe Promenade.... Shameless plug, if you really would like to buy one. Please purchase it from the Champagne Bar or other bar of your choice.

This morning's entry will be somewhat short.

Breakfast, where else Wipeout Cafe. Eggs in the pan still show signs of being fresh eggs. I have yet to head in to Windjammer or Solarium Bistro for breakfast.

In Falmouth, just wondered around the "Historical" District. Never ventured beyond the gates.

Came back to the ship for lunch in Windjammer.

Not sure if it is in the right order: Took a nap then Scoped the Flowrider. At the Flowride, surf, no more than four people were in line for the quick time I was there. I did happen to notice signage for Star Class for the Zipline.

Enjoyed a cocktail or two at the Champagne Bar then headed over the Diamond Lounge around 5 for some nibbles. Do want to add, on this sailing the Champagne Bar has become very crowded around 5pm.

Headed over to the Trellis Bar to meet up with our travel companions then headed to Windjammer around 6p for dinner. The action station tonight was something dealing with Indian food. Think it might have been vegetable corma? Also had where the hotdog and hamburgers normally are as a Jamaican Station. It had some breads that were very good, fried fish, Oxtail, fried plantains, chicken (wasn't jerk, that was at the carving station), cornbread, and rum cake.

After that walked the open decks some and people watched at Cafe Promenade until the 9p comedy show.

For the show, first guy was good. Second guy, ummm, no. I don't recall names, sure then are in the Compasses that have been posted already.

After the comedy show, Cafe Promenade, casino, Champagne Bar. Some of those locations might have been visited multiple times prior to this post.

Finally, back to the room for the wrap up of the day.

Tomorrows plans are Giovanni's for lunch (free as part of the room offer, will give better details later today) and MDR (finally) for dinner. Other than that, things are an open book.

That is it for now. Side note, the toilets are very loud without water (see previous post).

Was this the D+ luncheon?

No, the complementary meal that you can get at Giovanni's for booking a Boardwalk Balcony room.

Joking around the table, would have been better off with Jenn's choice of Johnny Rockets.

Good to know! For those in a CP balcony you can use your free lunch credit at Johnny Rockets or Sabor as well as Giovanis

From what I was told/understood.

Sabor is choice of appetizer, entree, and dessert.

Going to assume Johnny Rockets is their standard menu/get what ever you feel like.

Exactly. Only thing that you couldn't get was the milkshakes. They were extra

I know you are in a CP balcony, but didn't know if you had a "source"...

We are in a boardwalk balcony so we have two soda packages as part of our Eat. Drink. Play. perks. Have heard conflicting reports about the free soda mugs when you've purchased other drink packages. Hubs bought the Deluxe, and I bought the refreshment package, and we want our two kids to have the soda package that comes with the boardwalk perks. Have heard that the first two guests on the itinerary (hubs and I) get soda cups from the perks, regardless if they are the ones using the perks. Ideally, we all want soda mugs...so what's the story there? Any info on that?

Yes, the evening food offerings are just sad. The pizza is not very good. The sandwiches and sweets are OK but it gets old because it never changes. This is the worst cruise I have been on for evening/late night snacks (1 other Royal, several Carnival and a Celebrity).

We ordered room service several times at night. I did not have it, but one in our group said the steak sandwich is awesome!

One night I did not finish my MDR spaghetti so I asked for a lid and it made a good mid-night snack. My waitress even wanted to give me a fresh one to take back to the room, so nice of her.

Hello followers once again!

Did have a conversation and agreement with our tavel companions. Food options after Windjammer closes are just depressing. Sorryento's and Cafe Promenade. After 9:30 Sorryento's had pulled the Make Your Own Pizza line and Cafe Promenade just has the same things everyday.

Gotten to the point where I grab a few slices of meat and cheese for Windjammer just before they close and leave it in the room.

All of the food I ate was great, I am just talking about after dinner shuts down in the Windjammer. We had early seating in the MDR (ate in the Windjammer 2 times for dinner and 5 times at the MDR) and come from California. So just like someone posted above, we were usually hungry again after the evening show. I have not been on Norwegian but all other cruises I have been on had hot food and dessert set up somewhere for late night snacks.

One night it took an hour to get room service so it is a really slow process.

See I'm not finding the food selection that bad. Maybe it's because I've only sailed Norwegian before.

Well... just gone done with Giovanni's...

Not at all impressed with the complimentary lunch for being in a Central Park Balcony room.

When you get in you room there should be a letter that outlines things. For the most part, just show up to an open speciality restaurant for lunch and inquire about the "eat" portion of the Boardwalk Balcony offer. I'll have the letter posted once I find it again.

To me, food selection isn't bad. Come 10pm, all bets are off. Just Sorryento's and Cafe Promenade. Other than attempting and waiting for room service.

Maybe I haven't noticed because I don't typically eat that late. Where I find it lacking is the availability of fruit in windjammer. Getaway had so many options for fresh melon all day. Here it seems to be all fruit salads
