Thought of another question for you and twisterfreak2280... was there a very large "Trolls" presence on the ship? Characters, movie showings, etc?

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

I recall seeing a photo ops a few times in the Promenade.

Same thing with a movie showing near the end of the cruise.

The shuttle service is handed over to 888 Taxi. Time (9:45) was requested at check-in.

First time using it October it was great. They used a large shuttle bus due to the number of people.

This time around, only 6 people. So 888 Taxi dispatch sent a minivan. That van was a game of Tetris trying to fit luggage everywhere.

Sorry, not sure if the menu changes. Same thing with movement of the line.

We happened to get there first thing, so no line and immediately seated.

RCB has been given a link to the Compasses. I'll post it here once they have been published of if I don't hear back sooner.

In case others are looking for fruit, there are fruit cups at Park Cafe in the cold case. At breakfast in the Windjammer there are a few dried fruits like apricots, raisins and cranberries.

Yeah, all I've really seen in Windjammer has been just the staples of apples, bananas, and kiwis. I remember on Allure one night they had a huge spread of fruits. But other than that, like you mentioned the fruit.

One place you might want to check out is deck 6 forward at Vitality Cafe just inside the spa area.

All I can say is that it's better than La Terre!

Also fondly known as "La Crape" :p :p

On Oasis now.

Bob...for some reason they gave us this full bottle of house style

Merlot instead of that little split of red...not sure why. Full bottle

of bubbly as profile first choice, full bottle of Shiraz as second

choice, and also this bottle. Yikes! Really did not need to take on

our 2 allowed bottles on this cruise. ;)

Chandom:

Were you able to get into the DL upon boarding on day one?

Our cards did not work, so I waited in line at GS to get them

replaced. Those second cards did not work either, and found

several people trying to get in who found theirs did not work

as well.

We like sitting in the DL or CL to wait for our cabin to open,

but were unable to do so on this ship.

Upon calling the DL concierge, she told me that they don't open it

up until after muster and that "all ships do that"...which I knew was

not true. Of course the SL was open, which I pointed out to her.

Not feeling the love as a D+ on this ship at all. :(

BTW: No problem using the "First night done right" at 150 CP, as

we did as you instructed. Thanks! :)

Never tried going in prior to the drill. But they were working the first night.

Glad FNDR worked out they way it should.

If you got a drink package, show some love to the folks at the Champagne Bar.

If not, show them some Diamond voucher love. Happen to see Tony, ask for his honest opinion on that New Amsterdam vodka.

Ahh..OK...just don't see the reason to lock everyone out until after muster. :(

But our cards indeed started working afterwards.

Nope, don't have a drink package. I guess with the two bottles of wine we brought

on (which may never even use ), the three bottles they gave us in the cabin

plus the beer, the drinks in the DL, and the vouchers...hick up..urble...I am not

going dry to say the least. :p :p

Will do...and try remember to use the voucher at least one night at the Champagne bar,

looking for Tony. :)

That's disappointing about the DL and the Concierge. I will miss the CL especially on FR.

Also, how crowded is the DL this week -- especially after First Seating leaves for dinner?

Some what crowed prior to 5:30, started to thin out good come 5:10-5:20.

However, didn't spend much time in there. Would pop in to grab a few nibbles and head off else where.

Now on the flip side, the Champagne Bar started to become very crowed come 4:30. Not sure if they were all voucher users, but it did seem a lot of wine was being poured. Plus some of the Diamond liquors being poured.

Thanks -- this is similar to what you posted on your Back to Back.

We like to meet new folks in the lounges so hope DL will be a good experience. The couple we were supposed to cruise with had to cancel.

FR had a D+ line at Guest Relations. Does OA have a D+ at the Guest Relations desk?

Nope (FR is was a line for Diamonds and above plus gold card holders), but the Diamond Concierge did seem like she could do basic things during their hours. During the cocktail hour I left my card in the room. Tailgated someone in and had an extra key printed.

Thanks thought line was D+ and above but it was fast. Good to hear that the DL Concierge can do basic things -- I like the continental breakfast in the DL or CL as I like lox, bagel and cream cheese with the specialty coffees so I think I will be in the DL a lot during the less busy morning hours. Our stateroom is close to the DL also.

I have heard it is extremely crowded early, but we always come in at 15-20 minutes

after first seating starts on any ship. We had absolutely no problem finding plenty of

seats here in the DL these first two nights. :)

Totally agree. Will not only miss the great DL on Freedom, but the whole ship

as well!! Oasis is nice, but not even close to our beloved Freedom. :(

We will miss FR and I like the 8 day itinerary (but Chuck doesn't and he does not want to drive to FLL) As Port C is close to us, we will have to get used to OA. We have 5 cruises booked on her.

We have second seating at 8 PM, so hope it is not crowded around 7 or a little before. I always avoid DL or CL (unless I need something immediately from the Concierge) before First Seating starts - especially cruises out of Port C as Central Florida folks love to eat early. Early seating is hot and folks fight to get into it.
