Noreen411 Posted January 20, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2017 Hi On Anthem do you get the Wow band for free if in a Junior suite? We'll be in a JS this trip. I have old ones from Quantum and can bring those, but if we'll get new ones automatically I'll just leave the old ones home Thank you Noreen

bobkat12 Posted January 20, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 20, 2017 We got them on Harmony in a Jr Suite, it was free but I don't know if your c&a level makes a difference. I doubt your old ones would work anyway. Sent from my iPad using Forums
Bernie by the sea Posted January 20, 2017 #5 Share Posted January 20, 2017 What I have read/seen in the boards is you can take your old ones and trade them for new ones Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Missymo Posted January 20, 2017 #6 Share Posted January 20, 2017 Wow bands cost $5.00 and are currently available on the Ovation, Harmony, Anthem and Quantum of the seas. They are usually free in Jr Suite and above. These bands can be reused and reprogrammed. The wow bands are linked to your Seapass account and holds all your information related to your cruise and is also your cabin key . TeeRick Posted January 20, 2017 #9 Share Posted January 20, 2017 Yes we were recently in a Spa JS on Anthem and WOW bands were in the room when we got there. They were free - but we had to take them to GS to activate them. Honestly we almost never used them.
LisaT91403 Posted January 21, 2017 #10 Share Posted January 21, 2017 3 out of the 4 of us (2 passengers in each of 2 Junior Suites on Harmony) received the WOW bands upon boarding. We didn't know if we received them because we were in an JS or because we were D/D+. No idea why we only got 3 and not 4, but we were able to get a 4th without any problem. DS(8) thought it was fun to wear for the first 3 days, then he got tired of it. One of us carried one around so that we could open the door to the other cabin. Otherwise, we didn't wear them or use them for anything.

Smithster Posted January 23, 2017 #13 Share Posted January 23, 2017 Being a frequent cruiser (Diamond Plus) I thought I knew about everything. This I did not know about and guess it is because I have not sailed on a ship that offered them. But was surprised to hear most did not use them...at least for opening cabin door. Seems like I deactivate my cabin key once because of either magnet on my purse, or cell phone. Sounds like a great thing to have and looking forward to them being offered on all ships. Am I missing something ....thoughts? Sounds great for cabin door.
leinhto Posted January 23, 2017 #14 Share Posted January 23, 2017 Why would it not be used much? So its in addition to cabin key or in lieu of? Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk

You can use it along with your Seapass or use only the Wow band. Your choice. You do however need your Seapass to get off the ship at ports. NumnuT Posted January 24, 2017 #17 Share Posted January 24, 2017 was on Ovation out of Sydney in a GS, sea passes & WOW bands were in the room. I never took my WOW band off for the whole 10 nights, DW preferred her sea pass as she loves those blingy lanyards.
