Sale of cigarettes

With the new smoking policy, does anyone know if they are still selling cigarettes on the ship? We will board the Volendam on Feb. 14, 2017.

I don't smoke but they did have them for sale on the Rotterdam in January after the new policy went into place

The new policy doesn't ban smoking totally - just on the balconies - so why wouldn't they continue to sell cigarettes?

They will still sell cigs. A money maker and smoking still allowed on board. Plus, many of officers seem to smoke based on observations aft lido.

My guess would be "yes." They've been selling liquor for years and you can't take that back to your room for use.

Smoking is not allowed in many airports and yet, the duty free shops sell them.

 

No reason for HAL to stop selling them.

 

After all, they sell liquor and you can't drink it on the ship ;).

 

It's part of the "duty free service" so I don't foresee (although I don't have a crystal ball) them ceasing to sell cigarettes. The bars also sell them ;)

Guess we've been breaking the rules? We often wander away from the bars when we obtain adult beverages, including sometimes taking beverages back to our room.

You're not breaking any rules ;) POA1 is talking about buying the bottles from the duty free store on board ;) not drinks at the bar.

Just off of the NA and they were for sell in the shops. The smoking area (for DH) on the aft deck was usually crowded but kept clean, in fact at least two of the tables were usually employees.
