racj846 Posted January 28, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 28, 2017 If a Future Cruise Deposit is used to book a cruise many months from now (Spring 2018) but at a later date (prior to final payment date) there is a need to cancel, is the FCD: - re-instated with the same expiry date as before - re-instated with a new expiry date OR - refunded Presumably you do not lose it unless the cruise booked needs a non-refundable deposit, which is not the case in this instance. Goldenpaw Posted January 28, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 28, 2017 We recently canceled a cruise that we had made using a deposit from a year ago and the deposit was reinstated with the same expiration date. Sent from my iPad using Forums
Astro Flyer Posted January 29, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 29, 2017 (edited) If less than 2 years after purchase it will be available until the original book by date; if expired then it's refunded. Edited January 29, 2017 by Astro Flyer

Yep, but in my experience they're happy to roll it over.

That's good but recent threads indicate that Princess doesn't often extend them now & instead are refunding them. It may be another of Princess' famous consistent inconsistencies.
