Change cruise date and OBC

We booked a 12 night on the Anthem last month while we were cruising and now need to change the departure date to 8 weeks earlier because of another commitment arising. We were given $200 OBC for booking, will we lose that or will it transfer over since it is the same exact cruise just an earlier date?

If it was OBC that was from booking on board then you will keep it.(it sounds like this is what is from) If it was promotional OBC from a sale that was on then you will lose it.

Just don't downgrade your cabin . I increased the days (7 to 9) but went from balcony to inside and lost some obc.

They will take every opportunity to snatch back your OBC.

 

ASK before changing your booking.

Just asked RCI this question. I called to check on a rate drop and asked about my obc from on board booking. Rep told me (take that for what it's worth :eek:) that on board booking obc stays unless you move your date more than twice.

It used to be they only allowed 1 change without penalty. I thought that had gone by the wayside and now there was no limit to how many times you can change the date and/or ship??

In fact, they were advertising unlimited changes on Brilliance last week. Wish I had taken a photo of that sign.:(

The 2 move limit was what I was told just the other day when getting a price reduction....BUT, like I said - take it for what it's worth!! :p
