Teppanyaki sold out?

Just hit the 90 day mark for my May cruise on the Star, so I went to make a reservation for dinner at Teppanyaki. That restaurant doesn't even appear under the Dining options.

 

I know that Teppanyaki is very small (only 16 seats). Does the fact that it isn't shown at all mean that it's sold out, or only sold out online?

it could be a temporary website glitch. try again tomorrow or in a few days

 

if it still is sold out on sail date, then it is just sold out online. book it when you board.

You can call your NCL PVP to make it for you. We did that on the Getaway! :)

On some of the smaller ships with only a couple of Teppenyaki tables, you can't book until you get on board. The Star happens to be one of them.

Same issue on our Gem cruise - doesn't even appear on-line. This is our 3rd time on the Gem and I could have sworn we booked early once or twice before.

Sailed a few years ago and also recently on the Star and Tepannyaki was never able to be reserved until on the ship, if you can connect to the ship's WIFI in the terminal before boarding that might also work. Otherwise do it soon after boarding as it is a very small venue. Recently sailed on Jewel (same size as Gem) and could RSVP Tepannyaki at 90 days out.

We booked it on Gem for our trip this past Dec. Interestingly enough, it was a prime time and the place was only about 3/4 full. The last few nights it was packed though.

With the recent dry-dock renovations the NCL DAWN doubled the number of seats at the Teppanyaki.

If you can't book it in advance or online - FIRST mission on board make the reservations then - be flexible for alternate times !

I was able to make reservations for teppanyaki on our upcoming Dawn cruise.
