We really enjoyed our 2nd Princess cruise...first was in October on Royal, this was Regal.

We "were/are" loyal with another cruise line (15 cruises) that we feel had begun to get very chintzy...with cut amenities and raised drink prices.

Embarkation was very fast, we arrived at 11:30 and were eating lunch by 12:00...

Now with Princess we feel the food is better, and the buffet has more different choices daily.

We were signed up for Anytime Dining, since we like to eat early this turned out to be a mistake...big jam up at 5:45

We approached Sandro, one of the head waiters in the main dining room and he was able to get us switched to a table for 2 in the Allegro which is what we like.

In general the food in the main dining room is very good, we don't use the specialty restaurants.

We had breakfast in the Concerto most mornings, like being served!

The shows were good, although I will admit the the shows on "the other cruise line" were more elaborate.

But if Stevie Moris is doing a show on board...do not miss it.

People we liked Valeria in the Vines bar

Head water Sandro

Table waiter Gabriel

Assistant waiter Gabriel

It is amazing how quickly the theater fills up for the shows, get there by 7:20 for and 8: show....or sit on the side...

We are looking forward to our next Princess cruise

Thank you for posting. It's good to know that you were able to quickly switch to traditional dining. Did you try the later shows? If so, what time did you need to arrive to snag a seat?

We are on the Regal in March and are truly looking forward to the experience.

Hi P and D this is Jo and Joe, enjoyed meeting you at Bellini Bar, we had a great cruise too. We gave up on anytime dining a few years ago , we always like to dine around 6, so we just do traditional. Less stress. I'll remember to try Mojo, you should try Shooters!
