How sodas are served question.....Cheers versus Bubbles

I've read that Carnival serves sodas on the Bubbles package by the glass, I'm assuming they won't give you a can if you wanted to take it back to your cabin. (Can someone confirm that?) But I was wondering how they serve them on the Cheers package....do they only serve by the glass or can you get an unopened can?

They open the can in front of you and give you a glass filled with ice. Could you find a bartender that would give you the soda can unopened- probably, ;) but that is not their policy.

There is no functional difference for the bartenders between Cheers!, BB, and by-the-glass other than how you pay for it.

Also remember, everyone in your party can take a 12pk of soda in cans with you when you embark. Even if they're not soda drinkers, have them take a 12pk with them for you. It'll save you a lot of $$.

I agree- I've had Bottomless Bubbles on almost every cruise since they started offering it, and I've never been allowed to take an unopened can... no matter how many tips I've given the bartender!

If you get the Carnival tumbler they sell (it's a nice souvenir and pretty reasonably priced) it's big enough to hold the whole can. I've been using mine at the gym. It's a nice size and pretty cute.
