Miami Airport to Port..simple question

Friends are time cruisers, they are wondering if it's cheaper to do a shuttle from the Miami airport or a taxi...thanks!

A taxi is a set fee of $27, but I'm sure Uber is less.

I believe UBER will be around $14.00.

 

I would go with UBER.

Unless travelling solo, a shared shuttle that charges per person will always be more than a taxi/Uber

Who decides on FLAT RATE or METER Rate ?

Can the driver refuse you a Flat Rate and take you around the houses and end up paying $60 ?

Flat rate fare is established by Miami and only applies direct between MIA airport and POM -- anywhere else, like a stop for water/wine/suntan lotion, and you are on the meter.

We've done the cruise line's shuttle one time in Miami - never again. It was a 2 hour trip to the port & 45 minutes of it was waiting outside in the summer heat.

 

Since then, we've shared a taxi with another couple. The fees are set & the trip is short.

 

Never have used Uber in Miami, but we used it for the first time in Ft. Lauderdale & it was definitely the way to go out there.
