Epic- Western Carib questions- Time change

Hi looking for some help from anyone who recently did the Western Carib. cruise on the Epic out of Cape Canaveral. I am looking to find out if there are any time changes or if we stay on EST the whole cruise. Some of the vendors I have booked for onshore excursions are quoting different times for port in their instructions email if we are on CST or EST. I know someone had posted the dailies awhile back but I cannot find them :o(

Also curious if there is a Casino At Seas invited guest line at Port Canaveral? There has been at every other port I've been to so am assuming there is...but never hurts to ask.

Thanks for any info!

Trish

We did a western cruise on Getaway out of Miami last September and the time changed 4 times!! Two nights going back an hour and two nights going forward an hour...really messed up on iPhones and iPods...do not trust them.....we always checked the ship time on the in-cabin telephone. Itinerary included Roatan, Belize, Costa Maya and Cozumel. I do not remember the name of the Cozumel pier but it was the one right in town.

As for CAS boarding at Port Canaveral, we just returned from Epic (eastern) and CAS cruisers were called for boarding with or maybe before Haven (cannot remember exactly). I do not know if there was a special checkin line/waiting area. There were different checkin lines for Latitudes levels.

NCL ships stay on local time, plenty of warnings from the ship. Most all local reputably excursion vendors understand this and shouldn't be issues. Best thing is to bring an old fashion watch, etc that isn't tied into the "internet" an is easily changed!

Pretty sad but I cruised on the Epic a few weeks ago and never thought about the time change.. Forgot about it..and I'm sure it was announced on board but my hearing is going and it all sounded like Charlie Brown's teacher to me. We did beach excursions and were back in plenty of time..I know that doesn't answer your question..sorry

I was on the Epic in January going to the Western Caribbean and there was no time change. Nothing was placed on the beds and no announcements were made about the time changing.

We went Feb 18-25, nothing was placed on our door or bed either about the time change.

Lisa and Crzy were you both on the Cozumel/Georgetown/OchoRios/GSC itinerary?

I had at one point seen the dailies posted for this and did not note any time changes

Hmmm well I guess I will find out next week. And not miss an excursion in the process!

Thanks for the info!

I was on that itinerary. When I get home tonight, I'll pull out the dailies and see if it says anything.

Every NCL ship I've been on (8 I think?) has always changed ship time to match the current local port time at every port.

No, NCL does not always change to local time. I've been on several NCL cruises that did not, including one Western Caribbean itinerary.

Just checked your ports, all on EST, however as previously mentioned USA jumps forward one hour this weekend. All your ports do not change for DST except GSC.

If you are on 7-day beginning tomorrow my guess is that the ship will not go forward on Sunday morning but will stay on EST until after the first 3 ports and then go forward one hour before GSC. Have a wonderful trip, we were on Epic last week and left her in good condition.;)
