Can you use skype or FaceTime on the Jewel of the Seas if you've purchased the Voom surf + Stream?

I have used FaceTime on all ships and I only get the Surf package.

If you intend to use video of any sort, be prepared for poor performance.

We have used FT on Allure and Oasis and it works just like at home.

Internet on Jewel is much different than Internet on Oasis class.

My daughter was able to Skype chat (text) with her BFF without buying an internet package with her iPod Touch on AOTS last week. Must be a glitch. Only chat and sending pictures was working. The video or voice call wasn't working without the internet package.

We have had reports of other apps partially working without an internet package but that is probably an intermittent and temporary thing.
