HD2003 Posted March 8, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 8, 2017 This is our first time cruising on RCCL and I am having a hard time finding out if there are, and if so how many, formal nights on a 6 day, 5 night cruise. When I searched on their website, the only thing I found was check your Compass when you get on board. Can anyone advise?
Clarea Posted March 8, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 8, 2017 Unless you are on Empress where there are no formal nights, there will be one formal night, most often (but not always) on night 2.
cb at sea Posted March 8, 2017 #3 Share Posted March 8, 2017 Night 2 is the likely night....99% of the time, that's when "formal" night is. Whether others dress up on a short cruise is hard to say!
riclop Posted March 8, 2017 #4 Share Posted March 8, 2017 Only 1 formal night.
Eggfrmr Posted March 8, 2017 #5 Share Posted March 8, 2017 We were on a 5 night on Freedom last fall. One formal night and it was moved to the third night due to the second being Halloween. Sent from my Lenovo TB-X103F using Tapatalk

Thanks! We are going on the Empress in a few weeks and it will our first cruise with Royal. At least now I know I don't need formal wear for our 5-day cruise. John Part of Empress' big announcement when she returned to the Royal Caribbean fleet was that there would be no formal nights on her. :)

We're not calling it formal night."
