Just curious to see if anyone has stayed there? Our flight gets in so late, that we are really just looking for a clean/safe place to sleep for the night. It is relatively inexspensive.

Thank you in advance,

Sandi

The Doral Inn and Suites is 6.9 miles from the airport terminal

...which is only one mile closer than a downtown Miami hotel such as the Holiday Inn

So if booking a hotel as close to the airport as possible was your goal due to your late arrival, there is no real difference between travel to this hotel and one near the port. And did you verify that the hotel shuttle runs as late as your flight arrives--I found no time schedule or other specifics on their website other than the "free airport shuttle" blurb on the splash page.

Does not make sense given how far it is to the Airport and even farther to the port. Make sure to look into the added cost of transportation. There are tons of hotels near the airport.

If you are arriving late and just want dinner and a room check out hotels in the Blue Lagoon area - Homewood Suites, Hampton Inn, etc. with nearby shopping and dining options.

Ā

If arriving earlier look at downtown hotels. Mary Brickell is a popular area (Hampton Inn, etc,). Other popular downtown hotels include Hyatt, Intercontinental, Doubletree, and various Marriott options.
