With all due respect, I'm a local. I live here. I am constantly in and out of Boston for work. I'm sorry that you considered my posts that were intended to be helpful rude.

I'm done with this subject.

And BTW, I'd rather leave my car long term at the EDIC garage at the port than in the Government Center garage.

I don't think so and I've already made reservations. I'm not paying 24 dollars a day and would prefer a guaranteed covered parking.

I've only commented on a few threads and I'm very surprised at how rude most of the members are. I can easily see how cruisers get such a bad name.

Then again boards always have their trolls. .

I'm thinking of the port parking - how likely is it to be full? Is there a sweet-spot time to get there in the morning? Is the drop-the-bags-park-the-car-get-back-to-the-terminal thing easy?

How hectic is it getting out at the end of the cruise? Thanks

When I parked there a couple of years ago, parking was easy. I arrived around 12, 12:30. I dropped my wife and the luggage off at the terminal, then went and parked. When we got back, I left my wife and luggage, and got the car. If I had to do it again, I'd haul the luggage to the garage.

Hi I am looking for some info on the Dawn Ship can you help me out?

I love the serenity deck's on carnival ships, is there anything like this on the dawn?

Adult only areas on the ship?

bring alcohol or wine on the ship?

food options?

room service?

casino area?

spa area, any free sauna and steam options? after using the gym area

Here's the Massport link for $20 per day:

https://www.massport.com/port-of-boston/cruiseport-boston/parking-passenger-drop-off/

It says it is on Fid Kennedy Drive, and not the parking garage nor open lot close by. It does not appear to be the same outside lot as we have used in the past and seems farther away.

A few days ago there was a Massport link for $24 per day; can't seem to find it now.

I've been on the Dawn twice and love it. Your best bet for info on the ship is the NCL website. The ship has been refurbished recently. I have brought wine on in the past but have the drink package now so I don't have to do it. They have a full around the ship promenade deck, there is a casino.

thanks for the info on parking

back to parking. https://www.massport.com/port-of-boston/cruiseport-boston/

follow that link, and that has a link to sp parking where you can reserve a spot at the Flynn Cruiseport. And they have a free shuttle to the terminal, $19 per day for ticket cruisers. Sounds great, but the link to actually make a reservation doesn't work Hopefully it will in the future. Has anyone had any success?

Any new updates on parking options other then the terminal?

There's a ton of parking locations other than the terminal..... what are you specifically looking for?? Question is pretty vague... parking at the terminal is super convenient and super cheap

Just wanted to know other than the terminal parking of $24 a day or the Falcon lot at $19/day are there are any other options even with a night stay at a hotel close with a shuttle service by for the 8 days/7 nights cruise. TIA

This site gives a total of $134 for the week 11am-11am. The link seems to work also. I am just wondering if it is possible to arrive earlier and leave later and what charge that would be.

Also I live close to Dartmouth college so the Dartmouth coach is also an option with pickup locations in Hanover, Lebanon, and New London NH. I think new London is the only place with free parking though. From the new London park and ride I think it's $37 round trip to north station.

Just paid $147.00 for our Dawn cruise the week of June 15th. We are two couples so will just split the cost. We booked with the link to Flynn Cruise Port. The hours are to arrive after 11:00am and to be out by 11:00am. I could not navigate the site with my computer, I ended up reserving with on my husband's computer. I understand the cost is higher on the day of departure. WE checked the train out of Providence at $12.00 per person one way. But, it just didn't seem worth it for the hassle.

Actually $40 a day is a steal in Manhattan (even less than $40 if you're on the Gem with the 25% coupon)......

Sadly, the Gem parking coupon has not been accepted since last summer. We knew this but tried to use one anyway for our most recent Gem cruise at the end of February....no luck.

Do you mind posting the link to the garage's web site. I just called them and they said that the cost is $30 a day.

Here is the link. We reserved online and did not call. SP has several different parking garages which you don't want. You only want to indicate the parking for cruise option. Parking lot A-2 on 501 Congress Street. We got an SP Prepaid Parking Pass. There were two numbers to call. Questions for Parking 617 946-4440 and Questions about Parking Resrvations 866-330-7275.

I would try to do it online first.

This is the link.

MODahMan....we reserved on April 3rd. I read online that the price was higher if you just showed up the day of departure. That might have been the $30.00 charge. You might have been quoted rates for a $30.00 parking garage that was about .6 miles from the pier which did not offer shuttle service as does the A-2 lot. The A-2 lot was .7 miles from the pier. The shuttle seemed like the best option at the lower price

Hi, it's Cindy your balcony neighbor from last year.

This new parking has us confused. Did you tell us last year that you parked at the bow of the ship because they told you the garage was full? And did you say you arrived around 10:30. We arrived at 9:30 and there was a ton of parking open. So that's how fast it filled up.

I know the new open air lot is on Congress St now.

Next week is the first Boston to Bermuda. We're going to drive down and see where the new lot is. But we have full intention to park in the garage like we always do. Unless something changed since two weeks ago when we called, that's still an option.

Since this is relatively new, Congress St....I'm hoping it's all worked out nicely by May 4 when we go.

(Just in case we are not allowed in the garage.) We plan to get there around 9. It's still saying $20 per day on their website.

Parking is atrocious in Boston. Everywhere actually. I'm surprised they save a lot for cruise passengers to be honest. It would seem they'd rather build huge towering condos.

I don't want to deal with waiting for shuttles back to our car when we return to Boston. With our luggage. We like to walk across the street, get in and go. We're home in 20 minutes after we get off.

Thanks Nashna - I actually found this link https://bostonparking.spplus.com/Destinations/Boston-Flynn-Cruiseport-Parking.html and on the left hand side of the page scroll down until you find your cruise/date. For our cruise it is listed as $147 Friday/Friday.
