Has Anyone Seen The New Way To Get Cruises?....

Holy FUDGE I just looked up cruises and it is a MAJOR Pain In The Arse. Kept defaulting to 2 people, automatically gave me ES with the whopping $50 OBC  offer since I just got off a cruise, then gave me the worst possible room on one of the worst possible decks right off the bat - Deck 6. Then when I selected another rate besides ES, it booted me out of the cabin that I previously selected. Carnival, I don't know what ding dongs you have there that are "improving" your website, but I can tell you that this latest update flat out sucks. It's obvious the "geniuses" behind this have never ever tried to plan a cruise. And at this rate if they had any clue about how to do so, would never using your website.

Guess who just became more valuable? My PVP. I'll let him deal with all this from now on. Hopefully they didn't mess with what he sees. I'm not even going to attempt to try it on this disaster. If I need to look up info, I'll be going to a 3rd party website.

We couldn't disagree more. We loved deck 6 mid ship and booked it again for our next one. Halfway between Lido and the Lobby deck, which were the two decks we used most. Lido for obvious reasons and Lobby, what with guest services, MDR, & the main show lounge. We really liked being centralized between those two decks.

There are a lot of areas you need to be careful of on deck 6 of Conquest Class ships. You could be above the theatre which if you like to go to sleep early could be an issue or during the day when they rehearse (although I wouldn't be too concerned, just noting it as a potential annoyance). You could be above the disco which MIL and FIL were. They heard and felt the bass into the wee hours. They said NEVER AGAIN! Also there is a band that plays in the casino area that can keep you awake. Don't forget the arcade which has a LOT of noise in there 24/7 including big booming bass from some of the games. Aft you have the comedy club where they have comedy shows late, and also other things that go on like Quest or what have you. Deck 6 is one of my last resorts. While it's convenient (and I have stayed there in cabin 6393), give me deck 7 any day of the week.

LOL Seems to me there was a huge discussion about CC changing its format and how people hated it.

Carnival changing its format will soon be forgotten also.

Heck I'm not all that computer savey but don't/didn't find either one that difficult to navigate.

Every time change is attempted, people grumble. Not every change is beneficial, but by rolling out beta or test programs, a company can tweak it's proposed new software to be more efficient and reliable. They might even find out the beta program needs a major overhaul before they officially adopt it.

Some cruisers here would be happy to go back to the days when bought a cruise at a travel agents desk and you waited by your mailbox for your cruise documents to arrive.

Funny but it was exciting to get that packet of cruise docs in the mail! That WAS a lot of paper come to think of it.

Without a doubt.

I think some would even complain about that, pining for those days when travel accommodations were hand-written by travel agents, who were back then actually agents of the service providers and thereby authorized to issue such documents. Anyone else remember airline tickets with the red "carbon" paper?

I did love receiving the blue envelope and luggage tags in the mail. It seemed more official to me. But then again, that was more "junk" I had to save [emoji4].
