Is Solstice having a facelift near the end of this year????????

Hi fellow Solstice cruisers.

 

Have heard the Celebrity Solstice is being taken out of service for a while later in the year for some things to be done. Does anyone know if this is true and what is being done to her???????

I checked on cruisedeckplans.com, a TA site that usually has info about refurbs and nothing is listed at all for Soltice. They have info on refurbs on other ships out to 2020 that I've seen.

Last refurbished October 22 2016. Next one is October 1 2021 according to what I found on internet

Maybe a charter . How long is the time frame?

We spent a month on the Solstice last fall, and left the ship in Singapore where it went into drydock. The hull was inspected and some engineering updates were done. The plans included replacement of some carpet and such. The photo gallery was reduced in size and a new Tiffany's store was added. So some cosmetic upgrades in addition to engineering upgrades.
