We are sometimes amazed at how some people strive for conformity and overly concern themselves with what other people may think.

 

I cannot imagine living our lives according to what others think we should do or how we should act. Fortunately we have brought up our children to be independent thinkers. Perhaps it is a holdover from the Puritans. Absolutely nothing wrong with thinking out of the box and doing your own thing. Why be one of the sheep?

Your daughter has completed the necessary classes to receive communion. That's the most important thing.

Regardless of what you choose to do, I applaud you for the compassion you have for your MIL feelings in this issue. I am sure you are a great role model for your child. Have a great trip...whenever it is. :)
