Priority Questions?

Hello, we have a suite booked for an upcoming cruise and our documents have Priority on them, does that mean we will be able to go directly to our cabin to drop off our stuff, or do we need FTTF for that? Thank you.

Be sure to tell the staff when you get to the terminal for embarkation that you are priority - you will be sent to a special area to check in - even faster than the FTTF line.

No, you will have to have FTTF for that. I have a suite booked as well and taking a disabled cruiser with me who will need a bit of rest after we got on the ship. Suite perks include priority embark/debark, bottle of water, 1 bag of laundry. FTTF, includes early access to room, priority guest services, priority tenders, early delivery of luggage, priority for dining reservations. There might be something else because I don't remember everything but needed to get the FTTF in order for her to rest for a while. I don't go to guest services very much and we don't have any tenders on upcoming trip next week.

Suite passengers board immediately after Dia/Plat/FTTF and can go direct to their cabin to drop off luggage. No need for FTTF. Enjoy your cruise!

Boarding the Ship

On most occasions, guests board the ship in the following order:

  • Special functions
  • VIFP Platinum, Diamond, Milestone and Suite guests
  • Faster to the Fun guests
  • Premier Casino guests
  • Special Assistance guests
  • Assigned Zones
  • General Boarding (straight from check-in to boarding)

Guests who have purchased the Faster to the Fun package do not have access to the Priority Check-In Lounge.

Yes, actually suite guests board before FTTF; however, they do not have immediate access to their rooms.

Sigh...I really hate it when people post incorrect information because it just leads to confusion. Especially for newbies.

For clarification, if you have a suite booked but are not Diamond or Platinum and do not have FTTF, you cannot access your stateroom until they make the announcement that all rooms are ready. Here is the sign they post on the doors. As you can see, only Diamond, Platinum and FTTF rooms are ready early.

Here is a link to the FTTF benefits.

https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1374

It you look at the red note after each benefit you will see if Suite guests get that benefit.

From what I can see there Suite guest get the following:

Priority Security Check in and Express boarding

Dining reservations

Tender Priority

Debarkation choices

They don't get the following:

First access to stateroom

Priority Luggage

Guest services line and phone

You do not have access to your cabin to "drop things off". I mentioned this in my Vista posting. Cabins are not ready and the cabin keys were not in the mailboxes because that is not a perk of Suites. Keep FTTF if you want that. Plus it's nice for the Guest Services line. Notice on the door sign it does not say for Suites to enter.

Also on the card it does not say Suites will have their cabins ready either. Priority on the boarding pass is simply for boarding purposes, not for anything else as denoted on the card in the second picture. Again, it does not say Suites.

Oh wow, sorry, I didn't mean to open a can of worms. Thanks for the updated info, and I will see if they have any FTTF left for my upcoming cruise. Thank you very much.

No worm-can opening here :D

We all just want to make sure you get the right information.

Have a great cruise!

You welcome for the information. I wish that some of the posters would do some fact checking before posting incorrect information. I have read some of the reviews that people put on here and some of the are people without FTTF and are not Diamond/Platinum and they just go right on through the doors and dump stuff in their rooms. Can they not read the signs?

We are Platinum and were surrounded by FTTF in the Priority Check-in lounge at Port Everglades

I'm almost afraid to ask-----Some rude person on the NCL boards actually suggested that I, among the "retards", was trying to get something I shouldn't get.

Ok, am I correct?

My family is only Gold. Two are disabled and will meet their interpreter onboard, I assume.

They will NOT have priority boarding with us who are in a SUITE ??? Right??

Don't care about the rooms being ready. I just don't want to leave them alone during embarkation.

Thanks. :)

How horrible!!

You are correct in they are not able to board with you. However, if you want you can do your check in and then go to the general boarding with them.
