Any way NCL will move out the Manhattan terminal and into Red Hook Brooklyn or NJ?

Even with one berth it seems like it would be practical to have more departures than there are now from Brooklyn. There are few.

For example looks like only three for the months of April, May and June.

The problem is that you can't have a cruise embark in Manhattan and disembark in Brooklyn, or vice versa, so scheduling becomes really tricky when you hit the summer and Carnival starts cruising from NY. Remember, Carnival Corp. runs virtually no cruises from NY on any of its cruise lines during the winter and spring, so yes Brooklyn isn't utilized very much at that time of the year, but neither is Manhattan (by Carnival). NCL pretty much has Manhattan to itself in the winter and spring. But Carnival Corp. runs a substantial number of cruises from NY in the summer and fall on Carnival, Cunard, Princess and even a few on Holland America. The first Carnival cruise from NY is on June 20, so the Carnival departures will all be during the same season when Brooklyn is more heavily utilized by Cunard and Princess.

Yes, I expect they know what they are doing with scheduling despite it looking underused.

I don't see any changes to the current situation coming about unless berths are added in Brooklyn or Bayonne. And even if they were I don't see much chance of NCL moving out of Manhattan unless forced out.

Carnival also would not want to give up its berths in Manhattan.
