Changing Dinner Time?

My daughter and I booked a Carnival Cruise last month, and due to it being only 60 days before the trip, could only accept late dinner dining. 8 pm I believe.

We are used to cruising on NCL, and love the free style dining. Is there any chance that this late evening dining time could be changed once we arrive on the boat? we are not late dinner diners in general, really like eating when we want to.

Any suggestions? We booked Carnival for a change, as my son in law really likes it, and NCL wasn't offering alot of different locations for the time we wanted to go. Thanks!

Hi. Send an e-mail to the maitre d and let them know your choice. Do you have Faster to the Fun? If so, this does give you priority dining time choice so be sure to mention that in the e-mail. We had late dining and e-mailed them and received an email 2-3 weeks before our cruise that they were able to grant our request. Good Luck! Hope it all works out well for you.

Yup....I would email now and worst case visit the Maitre'D when you first board to discuss it. More than likely there will be enough of a shuffle that they will be able to accommodate you.

Depending on the ship, you need to find the code and follow it by "maitred@carnival.com. As an example, the code for the Magic is "MC", so that email would be... MCmaitred@carnival.com. You should be able to google the name of the ship you are going on to find that code. Good Luck! I like to eat early enough so I can go to the shows after dinner!

We have always been able to change our assigned dining time when we board if we were assigned one that we did not like. Just head to the maitre d as soon as you get on the ship and ask for the change. Last time, we had to go to our assigned time on the first night, but the next day we received a notice from the maitre d that our seating time had been changed per our request. They have always honored our request even if it was one day late.
