Hey all -

 

We just got our stateroom assignment for our May 20 sailing - 8042, which is a Cat 5b. We booked and paid for a Cat 7a. Did we just get bumped up? Does anyone have experience with Deck 8 or this specific room?

Yes. That is an upgrade. Had you booked a specific cabin or a GTY?

 

I don't do verandas (I don't feel the need for it and would rather spend the money elsewhere) so I can't comment on that. Check WDW Info for stateroom reports.

It was a GTY. We read a few reviews of our specific cabin and they seem very positive. So, yea for us, I guess!

If you are set on a particular cabin or area of the ship, don't book any sort of gty/*GT. Otherwise, enjoy the upgrade.

We find deck 8 to be perfect. We stayed in the same room both times on that floor and it works out great. Couple of floors up to the pool deck and sandwiched between 2 other floors of rooms and it's always been nice and quite to me. Enjoy the room!
