oceanfun77 Posted May 4, 2017 #1 Share Posted May 4, 2017 I'm going on a cruise with my mom and I would like double beds instead of a large single bed. Are they available for balcony rooms, or just oceanview and inside statesrooms? Thanks!
KarlChilders Posted May 4, 2017 #2 Share Posted May 4, 2017 The beds can be separated in all staterooms (except studio). Just request on your reservation and if it's not done when you get there, ask the steward and they will be happy to separate them.

Not "all staterooms" Most suites (nearly all) have a king-sized bed that cannot be separated on the newer ships.

Most balcony cabins have what we call "German Doubles", that on request will be separated.
triptolemus Posted May 4, 2017 #7 Share Posted May 4, 2017 The clarification was related to suite king beds, not balconies.

Someone (I think BirdTravels) mentioned having a suite on one of the older ships that had a bed that could be separated. I forgot which one.
