time4u2go Posted May 26, 2017 #26 Share Posted May 26, 2017 Deck 6 for sure. It's within 2 decks of the ice rink, the theater, the jazz club, the comedy club, the casino, the dining room, the promenade, the spa, the boardwalk, central park, and dazzles. I don't think any other deck has that many things within such an easy walk.
CRUISEFAN0001 Posted May 26, 2017 #27 Share Posted May 26, 2017 I am hoping I like deck 8. We are booked in a balcony on deck 8 in August on Harmony. Real close to Park cafe. Bet you like it. We had Deck 8 for the first time on Harmony of the Seas in April (had decks 9 or 10 in the past) on other Oasis class ships...absolutely has become our favorite deck on this class of ships. Booked Deck 8 on Oasis next year.
SherriZ366 Posted May 27, 2017 #28 Share Posted May 27, 2017 On Allure, I think we were on deck 8, maybe 9. Our upcoming Oasis cruise we're on deck 11 in a hump JS. We're on the same deck at the DL and a few decks above or below dining areas. Oasis has so many decks that the choice has more to do with the cabin type and central location for us than anything else. We have booked Deck 11 JSs behind the hump for our upcoming OA cruises as it is close to the DL. DH was very pleased with the location.
Pittsburgh Mike Posted May 27, 2017 #29 Share Posted May 27, 2017 They most certainly are. :D I fear that might end up being the case with us as well!
pinkandgreenmom Posted May 27, 2017 #30 Share Posted May 27, 2017 Thank you very much!I'll stay where I am, I guess LOL I do like that the Promenade is right below us. I can run down in the morning for coffee and we like to spend time in the bars there so I guess all good LOL Thank you for taking the time to ease my mind :) We were on 6 on Oasis and loved it. We were close to the gym, one floor down to Boleros for drinks and Promenade for coffee, easy walk to Boardwalk and Central Park and theater. We are staying on 12 for our upcoming Harmony but I'm sort of wondering why we didn't stay on 6.
Rare Lionesss Posted May 27, 2017 #31 Share Posted May 27, 2017 Deck 17 is a great quiet place and yes they have elevators, but to think of all those stairs to climb up and down and up and down to let one indulge from time to time. Great exercise. The first day is a killer walking the stairs, then after that we try to use elevators only on formal night with me in heels. And yes these suites are addicting. Safe travels. When you are picking out a JS stateroom and are looking at places you will frequent, CK for dinner, Windjammer, MDR and especially the Diamond Club -- deck 11 almost feels like mid-ship. I think the places one goes to on an OA class ship should determine what deck you book on.
