Galan32 Posted May 7, 2017 #1 Share Posted May 7, 2017 We have booked a cruise on the Sirena in a concierge veranda stateroom this fall. Have been searching for the tip suggestions for the staff and cannot find any info. Does Oceania pay for tips on their cruises? Thanks, Gary
Rare ronrick1943 Posted May 7, 2017 #2 Share Posted May 7, 2017 Gary, for tip's- (1) you have them as a perk, (2) you get them with the cruise, (3) your TA gives them to you, (4) you pay them on your invoice as you cruise.
dfb Posted May 7, 2017 #3 Share Posted May 7, 2017 From the Oceania Cruises FAQ What is your gratuity policy? How much you choose to tip is a personal matter and completely at your discretion. For your convenience, the following gratuities are automatically added to your shipboard account. For guests occupying staterooms, gratuities of $16.00 per guest, per day will be added. For guests occupying Penthouse, Oceania, Vista or Owner's Suites where Butler Service is provided, gratuities of $23.00 per guest, per day will be added. In addition, an 18% service gratuity is automatically added to all beverage purchases, spa services and dinner at La Reserve. Naturally, guests may adjust gratuities while on board the vessel at their sole discretion.
Hawaiidan Posted May 7, 2017 #4 Share Posted May 7, 2017 We have booked a cruise on the Sirena in a concierge veranda stateroom this fall. Have been searching for the tip suggestions for the staff and cannot find any info. Does Oceania pay for tips on their cruises? Thanks, Gary No,, you pay between 16 and 23 pp/ per day which is added to your bill Unless, your agent has a deal with O for that cruise and included gratuities/tips as a benefit. ( this usually happens on Group Bookings, where your included in a "group" the agent assembles, not some affinity group membership) Concierige cabins are just inflated Veranda cabins in name only and you can get a hot breakfast and better reservations for dining. Whereas PH cabins with a dedicated butler offer the whole enchilada dining in room, special services etc. Tipping is up to you If you want to, and you feel that staff has really done some special things and your using them frequently. Tip according to the extra service you receive.... what ever you feel is right. Many add $5 to 10 a day, some much more, Tips of 18% are added to spa and Bar so you dont need to unless your getting some super service is my take . All up to you
bitob Posted May 7, 2017 #5 Share Posted May 7, 2017 There are many threads on tipping on oceania. Do a search if you can Much of those discussions concern whether cruisers tip in addition to the required amount, how much and to whom. It is very personal.
