Alaska cruise attire

Yes I have seen more people wearing jeans for dinner while in Alaska. It's not a "Carnival thing" too. I've been there with two different cruise lines and in both cases the non-formal nights were a bit more relaxed. Definitely no t-shirts and ripped jeans though. Most people were dressed similar to business casual with others opting for jeans.

I definitely dressed more casually on elegant nights this week on the Legend. The only dresses I wear are summer maxi dresses, but clearly those were not appropriate for this cruise. So I wore slacks and sweaters. And while I didn't see anyone wearing jeans on elegant nights, people were dressed less fancy. Only saw one or two prom dresses. ;-)

Oh, and yes, plenty of people, including my husband and I, wore jeans on casual nights. But I'm not sure that's much different than on Caribbean cruises where people wear jean shorts.

Yes, jeans are fine as long as they don't look like you were run over by a herd of caribou.

Even on elegant nights, most people wear more casual... sweaters, slacks for men and women. You don't see a lot of fancy dresses.
