Another waitlist question

My friend and I are booked on the 2019 RTW cruise in a B1 veranda cabin. She now wants to switch to a PH suite, but they are all waitlisted. Can we get on the waitlist for a PH cabin while still staying booked in our current cabin? Would we have to pay more for the deposit if we can get on the waitlist for a PH? Thx for any help. :)

Yes you can, not sure about extra money up front. Hope your working with a TA, they can help you out in this.

You can get wait listed..(but can probably be cleared) no extra money..

Yes, we have a TA (although I'm not sure if she's a "high volume" O agent like some people talk about). Not sure how I could possibly know that.

 

 

My concern, though, is whether our solid booking would get cancelled if we also get on a waitlist for another category. I definitely don't want to lose the cabin we already have if we wouldn't be able to move up to another category.

I called my TA this morning and she just got back to me. She waitlisted us for all the PH categories and said we are #1 for PH1 and PH2, then #2 for PH3! Hopefully we'll get moved up before the prices rise. :D

 

Thanks for all the informative answers I got - I'm still learning the "O way", as many things are different from other cruise lines.
