Celebrity Summit Sky Suite 6139 or 6145?

Checking out configurations and 6139 seems to have a slightly larger balcony. Can anyone confirm? Do you prefer the benefits of the Sky Suite as compared to the verandah staterooms? Thank you!

6139 on Summit is a Royal Suite, not a Sky Suite. Larger room overall. Very nice with nicer perks but more $$ than a SS.

 

Yes, we do prefer the benefits of a suite over a veranda stateroom. Larger room, butler's attention so better service, Luminae and Michaels Club. No comparison. But if you are a person who likes to spend your day out and about the ship, do not need much quiet and privacy, ok with MDR and buffet or paying for specialty restaurants, then you will be happy in a veranda stateroom. You get what you pay for.

 

 

It all depends on the experience you are looking for and where you choose to spend your $$$.

6145 is a S1 that connects to the Penthouse, nicely appointed, great bath, larger balcony than other S1's but very tiny closet. If you do a google search you can find videos of 6145 or 6146 they are identical.

 

6139 is a RS did you mean 6131which is also a S1? It does have a larger balcony that faces forward- from our balcony we could look directly into the 6131 balcony. You can find pictures & maybe video of that cabin by searching.

Yes! 6131 - sorry just realized I had a typo. Thanks for the info. Good to know it is indeed larger. Will try to see if I can find pics online. Leaning towards this one as we love to be out on the balcony and would appreciate more space.

Some, but definitely not all the same benefits. Hence the large differential in pricing.

RS gets free specialty dining, room set up of two bottles of your choice of liquor, nice bottle of Champaigne (forget the brand but much better than the Celebrity stuff). Stocked mini bar with soda water & beer of your choice at no additional cost. There is a true dining table......we always have in suite breakfast and butler sets table with white cloth and serves. Check out the online brochure where there is a table comparing the benefits of each type of suite. A RS is about twice the size of a SS and has a separate bedroom and roomy bathroom with both tub and shower.

 

Go on YouTube and search for Celebrity Summit Royal suite for some videos. Do the same for SS and compare.

6145 and 6146 are awesome S1 cabins. Both have large separate showers.

We enjoyed the extra balcony space on 6131. DS and his fiancée had the cabin next to us. We moved the chairs from their balcony onto our balcony so we could all sit out together as Summit balcony dividers do not open/connect.

I've done both. I prefer 6145 due to the large bathroom and the room is appointed like the penthouse. The angled balcony on the other room is larger but not private at all since on the angle you are visible from all the balconys down the whole side of the ship.
