Anthem - docking in Bermuda, ferry/excursion, & show cancellation

Recommended Posts

Going on upcoming Anthem 5 night to Bermuda.

- Watched her dock the other day on portbermudawebcam.com. What is the ferry/boat that is alongside her just after docking? It appears that a group of passengers gets onto that ferry, and then only after that are other passengers allowed to disembark. What excursion is that for / where does it go?

- Would just like to know beforehand what the procedure for disembarkation after docking in Bermuda is. Timeline, and exactly where in the ship (deck and location) you exit from. We did Celebrity Summit to Bermuda the past few years and we were always ready-and-waiting, and off the ship as soon as the gangway was open. Want to do the same this year to make the most of the limited Bermuda beach time!

- And finally, when we booked the cruise a month ago, we attempted to make reservations for entertainment and activities. The ONLY thing that we were able to book (something both available to book online, and at a time that we think we'll be available to do it) was Spectra's Cabaret for 9pm on the last night, wednesday June 21. Just got an email this morning from RC saying that our reservation has been cancelled, "due to the length of sailing this show will not be offered this voyage." Huh??? Anybody else have this happen or have any further info? Was looking at the dailies someone posted for this same itinerary from a few weeks ago and the show is listed on that final night.

Things can change between sailings on the same itinerary, including the things you mentioned above. The CD will probably announce the exit location, but if not, look for it on the Compass or signage on board. Shows can get cancelled for a number of reasons. Install the Royal iQ app and reserve stuff as soon as you can connect to the ship's WiFi (maybe even in the terminal after you check in).

I just got home from the 6/3 ,5 night Bermuda and there was a ferry boat across from Anthem the whole time we were there. I asked someone what it was and it was for NCL passengers. I don't know where it was going though. You could post on the NCL Dawn roll call from this week.

Here is his duplicate thread:

That ferry goes to St George, free for NCL passengers only. It is new this year.

You get off the ship on Deck 2 mid-ship. Just wait for announcement. Was very organized, but weren't trying to be first off either. As someone said, there was a boat awaiting NCL passengers, but it didn't impede on disembarkation of Anthem cruisers.

Don't worry about not being able to sign up for shows ahead of time. Just be there 10-15 minutes ahead of time and you should be fine. They let in reserved in first of course, but really it wasn't that many people. Then they open to everyone else.
