RU_Gremlin Posted June 14, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 14, 2017 Has anyone had experience changing travel agents after booking a cruise/paying the deposit? We booked an Alaskan Cruise for next year through a travel agent. She had great ratings on multiple websites. On multiple occasions, though, we've sent over questions/comments/concerns and not received a response. Phone calls have gone unanswered and unreturned. We need to ping 4, 5, or 6 times over email (separated by days if not weeks). We want to find a more responsive agent who will help us, but don't know how that works since we already booked the cruise. Anyone have a similar experience that can help out? Thanks

I believe there's a form that you have to complete (or a letter you have to write). Once your cruise is back at Princess, send your booking to your new TA. Be sure you do all of this before final payment.

Send a letter to revenuesupportdepartment@princesscruises.com telling them which bookings you want pulled. Signatures are required . They send an email to your TA advising them that you want the booking(s) pulled. They have 48 hours and can contact you in case they want to try and change your mind. cruzsnooze Posted June 14, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 14, 2017 If you just made the booking and prices haven't changed and your cabin category is still available you can just cancel and rebook with Princess on the phone , Princess online or with a new TA. MAKE SURE the TA who has your booking doesn't charge you a cancellation fee.

I would inquire if your new TA charges fees for cancellation or changes to the booking before you transfer the booking. I would not do business with any TA that charges any fees beyond what the cruise line charges.

billco Posted June 14, 2017 #7 Share Posted June 14, 2017 I have had success by simply providing the booking number to the new TA and asking them to take the booking.
