Poohb Posted June 28, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 28, 2017 Last June (2016) the H2O Zone had a wave machine for the shallow, slanted pool area (it was hidden behind the slats at the end). This past May the 'wave' wasn't there. Does anyone know if RC decided it was 'too dangerous' or if it it broken? Our 3 grands had a blast last year and will be disappointed if it's not operating this year. TIA

setsail Posted June 28, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 28, 2017 So did you ask in May why it wasn't there?
Poohb Posted June 28, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted June 28, 2017 Anthem OTS. Yes I asked. The answer(s) were non committal and untrue; 'there wasn't a wave machine' from one. ', it's just turned off' from another.

fred30 Posted June 28, 2017 #6 Share Posted June 28, 2017 That area you are talking about may be for the intake water for the filters and all the water features. This would eliminate the hazard of someone getting stuck on an intake. The water coming in and out is probably from the ship rocking. Even a very slight rocking motion causes a lot of water movement in the pools.

Biker19 Posted June 28, 2017 #8 Share Posted June 28, 2017 That might be "wave" pool, but as others have mentioned, the movement of the ship may provide as much water movement as the machinery behind those slats.
rukkian Posted June 28, 2017 #9 Share Posted June 28, 2017 On JOTS this February, the solarium pool had as big of waves as just about any wave pool I have been in, even when we did not notice much movement of the ship itself. It really does not take much to get the water moving.
