After lunch, we boarded the bus to head back to the Port.

We headed into the Port area to look at the shops.

 

 

 

A Carnival ship had joined us.

We did some souvenir shopping and I bartered. It was fun!

 

 

 

 

This was the tower I referred to earlier. Come off the boat, down the pier, stay to the right, and walk through under this tower to get out of the Port area quickly.

We caught the tram back and got on board. First thing I did was go and take a shower. I was hot and sweaty from the super humid day we had.

We went to Manhattan Room for Dinner. The Cast of After Midnight was singing when we arrived.

Coconut Sorbet - no one at the table liked it. I did not try it but the others did.

 

 

We went to the Comedy show in Headliners

 

 

Rich Aronovitch was the opening act

 

 

 

 

He then gave the stage to Dean Edwards - I guess he was on Saturday Night Live at some point.

Susan and I kicked around the Casino for a while and then headed to the room.

 

 

Jesse, our Stateroom steward, was awesome! He went above and beyond! He also gave me two Freestyle dailies. 1 to save for on here and 1 to use!

I loved the NCL muesli LOL. I didn't care for most of the food overall on the Sun, but the muesli was a staple for me :)

Don't miss the lunch! The tortilla's were heavenly! We did this tour 7 years ago and were very hesitant about eating at someone's house but like shadowmeboy said, it's fine. I recall Native Choice actually telling us on the bus ride that they get the chicken from a mainstream grocery store to ensure food safety.

I think I ate like 15 of the tortillas. They were so good! No one else was eating any of them, and I didn't want them to go to waste!

Thank you! Costa Maya is nice, but it still has a lot of potential. They are still expanding the Costa Maya area, so who know what will be available also in a few years. It was a lot of fun and very interesting. Native Choice is a excellent option and cheaper than the cruise line.
