Transportation from SFO pier to airport

Princess's recommendation is: "For voyages that arrive in San Francisco at 7:00 am, the earliest flight departure is 1:15 pm for international flights and 12:15 pm for domestic flights." So a 12:30 flight should be fine. Earlier will depend largely on when you get off the ship.

To answer your question, driving is probably your best option, whether that's a cab, uber, lyft, Princess bus, or otherwise. The only other practical way to the airport would be by BART, which is no problem if you can handle the approximately 1-mile walk from the pier with your luggage.

Hi, all, What's the most efficient way to get to SFO from the pier? Will be shooting for a 12:30 flight home. Hope that's not too crazy. Thanks.

You should be OK with that flight time.

We have used Supershuttle for the last two cruises out of San Francisco and San Pedro twice also. They have been both punctual and economical.

I don't think it's too early, if all goes as planned arriving into SF and going through customs. We usually are on our way by 9 with "independent transportation", We live locally and don't worry about rushing off.

Uber might be the cheapest, but Taxi would be easier because they are there.

We have always taken taxis, and it has never been a problem with flights in the very late morning. Only issue is the taxi queue. You can always tell Princess that you need early departure.

SFO is not that far from the pier, but traffic can be very very bad in and around SF so the earlier you can fly in the better. We live 1.5 hours away from SF and we've been stuck in traffic for an hour just getting from the city to the freeway on ramp. Try to avoid commute times.
