Krazy4Kruisin' Posted July 11, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 11, 2017 How can I find out how old a ship is on Viking? I've looked in their written brochure and on their website, and can't find anything. Other cruise lines list the age on their website. Thanks,
sharkster77 Posted July 11, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 11, 2017 They are all fairly new, probably 5 yrs old or younger I would guess. Viking has been on a shipbuilding spree with longships.

Rare notamermaid Posted July 11, 2017 #4 Share Posted July 11, 2017 The German list of river cruise ships on wikipedia is quite comprehensive. In addition to the longships - as Capt_BJ has said 2012 to 2017 - you can look up the older ships if you are interested: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_von_Flusskreuzfahrtschiffen age is given as Bj (Baujahr - year of construction) next to the photos. notamermaid
wheezedr Posted July 11, 2017 #5 Share Posted July 11, 2017 The longships are all from 2012 onward. I would not worry about age from one to another as they are as identical as possible. Just sailed on 2 of them, Baldur and Magni due to a ship swap and other than the picture of the relevant Norse god on the wall you couldn't have told them apart. Their commonality is what allow ship swapping to work so well for Viking when there are water level issues.
