Galveston - B2B question

Recommended Posts

We are sailing soon on a B2B on Royal Caribbean from Galveston. My question is about the second leg on the B2B... when we dock, I understand we "can" get off the ship if we want to explore the Port of Galveston so, when we get off & come back to the ship, is there a separate place we'd go to get back on the ship other than the normal embarkation place? I'd like to avoid all the lines and just enter the ship the same as if we were at another port during the cruise.... If we have to go back thru the normal entrance & navigate all the lines as if we were boarding new.... I'll stay on the ship!

Thanks in advance!

You will have to go through security, so there might be a line there. You won't have to check-in. If you arrive after general boarding as begun, you will just walk on the ship.

If you get off the ship (on your own) you will have to wait until boarding has begun to get back onboard.

In Transit card does get you into the suite line at security. Of course if all six lines are being shuttled into two scanners this doesn't help much. We got off, were harassed by the Texas liquor people, walked around town and beach, visited La Kings (old time ice cream shop), and got back onboard. Was kind of busy, be we got back on around noon with the crowds. No separate entrance.

There were only about 30 people doing B2B, so if you stayed onboard they were being escorted off and on the ship around 10:30. They still have to zero the ship. We just told them we were going into town at the meeting the day before. Did get a chance to meet a lot of officers at the meeting.
