Brissy Rookie Cruiser Posted July 31, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2017 Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone can suggest what to do with our luggage in Sydney for 3 or 4 hours after disembarkation from our cruise in September? We would rather spend some time in the city rather than hanging around the airport! Cheers.
polmcs Posted July 31, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 31, 2017 Any mention of a post cruise excursion/transfer in your cruise personalizer? We've taken excursion/transfers at the end of our cruises in Fort Lauderdale and Papette and been dropped off at the airport at the end of the tour. Cheers. if docking at the OPT there's a luggage storage about 5 mins walk from the terminal https://www.baggagestorage.com.au/index.php/store-locator/2-store-location-country-aus-nz/store-locations-data-australia-nsw/137-circular-quay they would have a tour from the ship and it would drop you at the airport
DogLover Posted July 31, 2017 #4 Share Posted July 31, 2017 Although we did not use this service for our cruise this past January from Sydney (Celebrity Solstice), I know others who did prior to embarking (we disembarked in Auckland.) Circular Quay is right next to the Overseas Passenger Terminal. If you are arriving at White Bay Terminal, you would have to take a ferry from there to Circular Quay (quite easy and very scenic) for the luggage valet. https://www.baggagestorage.com.au/index.php/store-locator/2-store-location-country-aus-nz/store-locations-data-australia-nsw/137-circular-quay Hope this helps. Rare OzKiwiJJ Posted August 1, 2017 #5 Share Posted August 1, 2017 Unfortunately the ferry no longer goes from White Bay to Circular Quay, it goes White Bay to Barangaroo instead. Barangaroo links to Wynyard Station via the Wynyard Walk. I don't believe there are luggage storage facilities at Barangaroo so the only option would be to catch the train around to Circular Quay. Brissy Rookie Cruiser Posted August 1, 2017 Author #7 Share Posted August 1, 2017 Which ship are you cruising on Brissy Rookie Cruiser? Leigh Our extended family are cruising on the Golden Princess on 21st September. We aren't flying back to Brissy until 3pm, so we just wanted to spend the morning in Sydney city rather than at the airport. :D Thanks.

The Golden Princess docks at the OPT so the luggage storage facility suggested by DogLover would suit your needs perfectly, a 7 or 8 minute walk from the terminal. Enjoy your cruise and your time in Sydney after the cruise. Leigh

Well, that's a bummer the Ferry doesn't do that anymore. Sounds like it's a non-issue anyway since the Golden Princess will port at OPT, a quick walk to the Circular Quay luggage storage. Have a great cruise!
