Is it worth the money to go from a Aqua Class Cabin to a Sky Suite. Seems like a big difference in price (about $2000) for another 100 square feet, its not about the money, but is it worth it? Also, this is our first Cruise. Thanks!

We love Luminae (suite-only restaurant) and Michael's Club (suite-only lounge with free alcohol plus various musical acts at misc. times) so the extra cost is definitely worth it to us. The Michael's Club concierge is always great and handles any request that you would normally need to go to the front desk for. Having a butler is a nice touch, although we don't use that very much.

Yikes ... I think that is too much!! If it were me, I would stick with the Aqua Class where you can enjoy Blu and some other little perks and spend that $2000 on another cruise. This is just my opinion!!

Luminaries is very nice but so is Blu and you get access to the Persian Garden with Aqua.

 

In our experience Michaels Club is dead, so a free drink(s) at night in a venue with no view to the ocean and only 3-4 others isn't much fun.

We enjoy suites when we find a good deal but IMHO $2,000 for 7 nights isn't worth it. Blu is excellent and with the $2000, you could purchase the premium beverage, some shore excursions, massages.....

I would never pay that much to upgrade from Aqua to a Sky Suite but it's a personal decision. Aqua Class already has a very nice restaurant - in some ways I prefer it to Luminae (granted, have only been in a Suite once since Luminae opened).

 

Part of your decision could relate to the perks you already have with your current booking. Suites automatically come with more perks than other staterooms generally speaking, so if those perks are of value to you, then you need to consider that in the cost. For example, if you have a Classic Beverage package but plan to upgrade to a Premium package, suites already include that as a perk.
