Does anyone know if they will show Sunday Night Football on board in the sports bar? We will be on the Freedom in October and would love to kick back and watch a game in the sports bar.

Sunday Night Football is on NBC so yes it will be on in the Sports Bar, Casino Bar, as well as in your stateroom if you wish to watch it there as well. During the day on Sunday you will get some of the games as well.

when did they ever start?

My first 2 cruises were during football season

Oct 2010- Freedom & Nov 2013-Conquest

On both cruises, SNF & MNF games were on the big screen on the Lido. I remember some college games shown on the freedom during the week as well.

I am hoping the Steelers / Ravens game is on in the Sports bar when we board the Vista 10/1. It is a 1 PM game so we will be wandering the ship for part of the game, but I want to be able to watch for a little bit at least.
With it being a 100 pm game, it's not part of the national feed. Since the ship would not have Pittsburgh or Baltimore as it's CBS affiliate, the chances are very slim you'll see it. If seeing your beloved team is that important, there are three other seasons to cruise so that there is no disappointment, or of course cruise during their bye week. ;)

If the Vista uses the Miami local feeds There's a chance you will be able to watch this game as the Dolphins are playing at 9:30am est. in London and the Stillers - Ravens looks to be the best 1pm est. CBS game for their doubleheader, it's going to be the Miami CBS affiliates decision on what game they show and they usually don't put that out until the Monday or Tuesday before the game, however both the Jets and Bills also have 1pm CBS games and the Miami CBS might pick a game with a divisional foe over the best game.

my guess will be Miami's CBS will choose the Jags at the Jets because you have a Florida team playing a Dolphins rival and I'm sure theirs a nice amount of NYC transplants to help bolster their local rating, but just check early the week before to find out

Are they still using the feed out of Miami?

I'm pretty sure I'm missing my beloved Cincinnati Bengals playing the dreaded Pittsburgh Steelers when we cruise in October. The Dolphins are home at the same time. Worse, since CBS has the doubleheader that weekend, and the Dolphins are on FOX, that means there's only two games shown in Miami that Sunday afternoon, one FOX game and one CBS game. Most of the country will have three games.

I guess I shouldn't be upset. We're on a cruise and shouldn't be tied to a TV screen.

All of my cruises have had the Miami locals. I'm not following the part about only getting two games though. If cbs has the double header you should get two cbs games and one fox game.

Home markets can't air another game against the home team's game, since Miami will be on fox during 1pm kickoff, CBS Miami can not air an early game while the Dolphins are on Fox

i hate this rule. i live in the Baltimore market and i don't like the Ravens. when they play on cbs there is no game on fox just a movie. i just fixed my over the air hd antenna on my roof that broke 2 years ago. now i can watch the Washington D.C. channels that are 46 miles away. now i can watch my Redskins.:D

When did they stop showing SNF & MNF outside on the big screen?

Why?

My 2009 Dream cruise had all 3 Thanksgiving games on the large lido screen as well as the Sunday and Monday night games that week. On my Breeze 2014 sailing, I was told Carnival stopped with NFL on the lido screen primarily because of complaints from the FEMALE cruisers. Something along the lines of it was out of place or their hubby's paid too much attention to the games.
